Classes 3C & 4C participated in an English Writing Competition with the Women’s Institute. In 3C, Taly came in 2nd place and Kinslee came in 3rd against the other NFSB schools. Congratulations to all the students and a special shout out to both girls!
To finish off our unit on maple syrup and La cabane à sucre, grade one invited our families in for a sugar shack breakfast where we showcased everything we’ve done over the past couple weeks. Students were so excited to invite their loved ones in to share a meal together, complete with maple syrup from our field trip on Wednesday. We are so grateful and appreciative of our families for donating food items as well as their time to help make this breakfast come together. We finished off our fun morning with maple taffy for students, which was a hit and a total surprise!
Our Grade 6 students had an amazing visit at NOVA Career Centre! They explored a variety of trades, including hairdressing, welding, mechanics and more. This hands-on experience ties perfectly into their current English project, where they are researching different careers and preparing for their upcoming career fair. A big thank you to all the staff at Nova for such a welcoming and inspiring morning!
