From Page to Presentation: Students Share the Highlights of Their Reading Journey

Groups 5C and 6C have been working hard on their book reports, with a strong focus on summarizing texts, identifying the big idea and theme, and thoughtfully critiquing their books. Students learned how to pull out key details, look beyond the surface of a story, and share their opinions using evidence from the text. Their efforts showed growing confidence and deeper understanding as readers. Well done everyone!

Shining Bright: Grade 3 Creates Mini Solar Systems

3A and 3B have been hard at work learning about our solar system, stars, and our galaxy. We made fun solar systems to go along with our unit.

Les élèves de 3A et 3B ont travaillé sur notre système solaire, les étoiles et notre galaxie. Nous avons fabriqué des systèmes solaires pour accompagner notre unité.

Honey Bear’s Visit to K4, K5, and Grade 1

School Bus Safety Campaign 2025-2026

This year’s school bus safety campaign ran from January 26th to February 6th, 2026.  Honey Bear visited our K4, K5, and grade 1 classrooms, reminding students of the bus safety rules.  Honey Bear certainly received many hugs!!!

HSB Students @ St. Will for Black History Month

Some students from the Black history & Futures committee at Howard S. Billings High School came to St. Will to read books by black authors for black history month. They also engaged students in rich and valuable discussions and lead them into some art activities post-reading. Thank you to all these students for these presentations and to Ms. Croteau for organizing this for us!

Keeping the Beat: February in Music Class

Mrs. Erin’s cycle 3 students have been creating fact posters for black history month highlighting black musicians. 🎶

Mrs. Erin’s grade 3 music classes have been learning all about the science behind sound and the 4 instrument families. They even got to try out a few instruments. 🎶

Staff Appreciation Week, Scholastic Book Fair, Kindness Grams, VIP lunch with the Principal…just to name a few of the things we are grateful for from our dedicated PPO!

Take a look what our Kindergarten students have been up to!

K5A has been learning about arctic animals and their homes in the winter. We made our own using mini marshmallows and toothpicks!

Kindergarten worked hard in art class on creating sunflower art inspired by Vincent Van Gogh.

Our K cycle celebrated the 100th day of school. We came to school dressed as the 100 year old version of ourselves or as a representation of the number 100.  We are 100 days smarter!

Mrs Erin’s K4 music centers were so much fun! Building rhythms with popsicle sticks, sorting high and low sounds and curling on the music staff for line and space notes!

Tastes of the Caribbean

A huge thank you MQC Melody Community Kitchen with a Caribbean Flair for being part of our Black History Month Celebrations!

All students were treated to a chicken or vegetarian Caribbean inspired meal and it was absolutely delicious!

Olympic Spirit

Cycle two has been obsessing over the Olympics; doing such things as athlete profiles, learning about the winter sports and even scavenger hunts!
To highlight Black History Month Mme Kayla and Ms Alyssa chose to shine a light on this year’s black olympic athletes on a beautiful bulletin board!
This has prompted many questions about the flags, countries and diversity within the Olympics!

Reading Gone Wild

Ms Dow’s Grade Three Classes are buzzing with excitement and bright-eyed curiosity! They have just begun a class novel: The Wild Robot.

Thank you to our PPO and volunteers for a successful Scholastic Book Fair.  Students also had the opportunity to win prizes by entering a draw while visiting the book fair.
